Styled Shoot: Armstrong Estate
This holiday-inspired shoot was so much fun to collaborate on. The Armstrong Estate is a new, beautiful venue located in Spencerville, Ontario.
The Invitations
Alex from Marry On Weddings gave me a clean slate to design an invitation suite with a deep green and white colour scheme, paired with envelopes and calligraphy from Cody Calligraphy. I went for a traditionally styled invitation with script font and a monogram to tie in the greenery garland being used on the tables. I’ve been experimenting with gold flakes and added gold touches on the corner of the invitation and rsvp card to bring in a bit more of a holiday theme. Of course I wanted to add my favourite touch of hand ripped deckled edges.
The Tablescape
The sweetheart table consisted of a charcoal grey table cloth, gold-rimmed charger plates, gold cutlery and gold-rimmed wine glasses to tie in the whole touches of gold theme. Mixed candles and a greenery garland with red and cream blooms created some depth and to the whole table.
Additional Touches
You can’t have a holiday photoshoot without greenery garlands being used in the decor and as backgrounds for the detailed shots. Garlands are one of my favourite wedding trends for winter weddings, and this shoot was no exception!
The Models
Bethany and Luc from Greyloft Studio were the perfect models for this shoot! Bethany looked so beautiful all done up in the wedding dress from Sinders Bridal, and Luc looked so handsome in his suit from L’Hexagone.[
