Save the Dates

You’ve picked a wedding date and venue,
now it’s time to let everyone know!

Now that the planning is well underway and all the details are getting sorted, it’s time to start actually inviting your guests! Save the Dates are very helpful and appreciated by your guests to know well in advance when your wedding will be held – and doubles as a wedding announcement! These cards don’t necessarily have to match your entire wedding theme, it’s something you can be creative and have fun with.

When should you send out Save the Dates?

Plan to send out your Save the Dates anywhere from 8 to 12 months in advance. We like to start discussing the design and details about 10 to 14 months in advance of your wedding day.

Do I need Save the Dates?

Ask yourself the following:

Is your wedding on a long weekend?
Are at least half of your guests coming from out of town?
Are you hosting your wedding on a day other than Saturday?

If you answered yes to any of those questions – then you should be sending out Save the Dates!

This helps your guests plan accordingly from saving to travel, altering their long weekend plans, or hiring a babysitter for the kiddos. It ensures they know they are invited to the event of the year and have ample time to clear their calendars and check ‘yes, I’ll be attending’ on your invitation!
